Positive: There were so many things to like. Firstly, being personally greeted by an amazing host and being shown around the property and the facilities was a really nice touch. The full south-facing pool and surroundings were lovely and meant we got the sun until 8:30 in the evening by the pool and evening patio area. The house is maintained to a very good standard, and any issues or concerns we had were immediately dealt with by our host. There was a great large TV for relaxing in the evening and comfortable beds throughout. The two powerful showers had plenty of hot water. There were various chill-out zones on the ground floor and nice chill-out areas outside under the natural shade of trees if the 28-degree sun was too much. The location is somewhat remote, with the nearest patisserie a 10-minute drive and the main town a 15-minute drive away. That said, the rural landscapes surrounding the property were just amazing, and because of the location, it made you completely relax. To nicely round off the holiday, our host even dropped us to the train station in the town for our journey home (thanks for everything Philippe)...
Negative: It would have been great if cupboard or wardrobe storage was included in all bedrooms. As it was, some rooms had to share wardrobe space. Also, the fridge freezer was a little inadequate for nine people staying in the property, so it would be nice to see this increased if possible.
